Our roots
Church legend holds that the world we inhabit was created by the Flying Spaghetti Monster. They contend that prior to humans arriving and beginning to murder animals for sustenance, this monster coexisted peacefully and harmoniously with all other species. Because of this, the Flying Spaghetti Monster decided to create “science” and “reason” in order to punish humanity.
Who or what do we worship
Among the many holy objects used by the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster are spaghetti, meatballs, beer, and pirates. We stand by the view that pirates are lucky and holy. This idea came about because sailors who roamed the world bringing food and treasure were known as pirates.
So, basically, in beer we trust. In FSM, we trust. In pirates we trust. Period.
